GUM Conferences


The GUM regularly organizes the GUM meeting (approx. every 18 months), where all new findings on the issues and interests of the GUM shall be presented. During the GUM meeting the General Assembly also takes place.



GUM-Workshops


GUM-Workshops are proposed and initialized by members and offer our members an additional possibility for the exchange of expertise and the discussion of specific questions.



Travel grants for young scientists

The GUM offers young members financial support for the paticipation in meetings organized by the GUM or the EEMS in form of a travelling grant and/or reduced conference fees.

The working group develops the position of the GUM towards testing strategies applied during analysis of various substances (pharmaceuticals, chemicals, e.g.)

GUM award

The GUM  award is an honour bestowed on merited scientists working in this area of science/research. On the occation of the GUM meetings alternating the „GUM award for general merits “ and the „GUM award for excellent scientific merits"is donated.

 

The "GUM award for young scientists " is awarded to scientists distinguished by excellent scientific work within the first 3 years after their PhD.

Proposals for the GUM award can be submitted informally bye-mail to the board.
